Jeff Daniels is continuing his years-long trend of slamming President Donald Trump.
The actor narrated an ad vouching for the president’s Democratic opponent Joe Biden, whom he believes would better serve his home state of Michigan.
The Don Winslow Films ad for the Biden-Harris campaign is geared toward Michigan voters. Since its social media debut on Tuesday (October 27), the ad has gone viral, Local4 reported.
Daniels retweeted the ad, writing “If you agree, please retweet. If you don’t retweet it twice.”
“Here in Michigan, we don’t believe in paying off porn stars to keep their mouths shut about who we really are,” Daniels said of Trump. “And we don’t think much of a man who disrespects women. In fact, we don’t think he’s much of a man at all…Michigan deserves a president who believes in things like decency, honesty and respect."
Michigan residents can still register to vote through November 3, and can request absentee ballots through November 2. Residents can find more information, including where their local clerk’s office is located, on the Department of State’s Voter Information Center. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is advising the millions of absentee voters in Michigan to drop off ballots in person rather than drop them in mailboxes at this point, avoiding any potential postal delays.
