Luke Bryan is the temporary owner of former NFL player Tim Tebow's 2007 Heisman trophy.
The country star and life-long Georgia Bulldogs fan turned to Instagram on Wednesday (November 4) to show off the coveted trophy and explain his plan to put a "curse" on the Florida Gators.
"I’ve got a fun week in store for you because it’s Georgia/Florida week," Bryan said in the clip, referring to Saturday's football game between the two schools.
Bryan went on to explain how he and his wife Caroline ended up getting the trophy in their house.
"Last year at the Red Bird Games," Bryan said in the video. "My wife — well Tim Tebow showed up to the Red Bird Games and offered up his Heisman up for auction to donate to the Brett Boyer Foundation. And my wife bid and won Tim Tebow's Heisman to be in our home."
Even though Caroline won the trophy at the Red Bird Games last year, it has just now made its way to the Bryan household, where it will remain for six months.
"Tim somehow delivered it last week, the week before the Georgia/Florida game," Bryan explained. "I feel it was an effort to bring bad mojo into my household."
In response, Bryan put a Georgia Bulldogs hoodie on the trophy and noted that he'll be putting Tebow's Heisman to good use throughout the week.
"I’ve got this all week to put a curse on the Florida Gators," he said at the end of the video.
Bryan and Tebow are also using their friendly rivalry to show support for their charities- the Brett Boyer Foundation and the Tim Tebow Foundation. The country star encourages fans to tune into their social media throughout the week to keep up with the fun!
The Florida Gators and the Georgia Bulldogs will face off on Saturday, November 7 at 3:30 p.m. at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville.
