Clint Black had a very special guest join him on stage during his recent appearance at the Grand Ole Opry. The country star's 19-year-old daughter, Lily, joined him on stage on Saturday (October 31) to make her Opry debut.
"I’ve got something very special for this next song," Black said before inviting his daughter out to join him. "We got a second-year music student from Belmont University who is going to make her Opry debut tonight. She’s going to get to find out what we already know that you guys are the most fantastic audience in the world right here at the Opry House. Help me welcome her out, it’s my daughter, Lily Black!"
"Very special to be standing here in this circle," Black said, going on to joke, "Everybody always feels no nerves at all when they come out on the Opry for the first time, right? None for you?"
"Absolutely none," Lily responded, before revealing that she'd be performing one of her favorite Carrie Underwood songs for the special occasion. Accompanied by her dad on guitar, Lily went on to perform the powerful ballad, "Temporary Home."
Following the show, Black turned to social media to share a photo from Lily's performance writing, "Very proud of my daughter, Lily is inspired by a class act @carrieunderwood!"
Black, who has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1991, performed on Saturday alongside fellow Opry member Steve Wariner in celebration of the Opry's 95th Anniversary.
