Justin Bieber poured his heart out during his E! People’s Choice Awards performance.

This weekend saw the singer-songwriter hit the awards show stage to perform not one, but two moving renditions of his newest songs, “Lonely” and “Holy.” With added assistance from featured artists Benny Blanco, Bieber treated his at-home virtual audience to two raw and emotional performances.

The 27-year-old kicked off last night’s (November 15) display with his latest single, “Lonely,” which Bieber performed outside in a dark and desolate scene as he walked down an empty road where record producer Blanco could be seen playing the track on the keyboard.

After massive applause, Bieber then exits the scene and enters a room filled with illuminated cross displays for an uplifting presentation of his religious bop “Holy.” Filling in for an absent Chance the Rapper (who originally features on the record), Bieber enlists an entire band of musicians and church singers to bring the performance home for an electrifying finale.

The Canadian crooner was nominated in several categories at the ceremony, including The Social Celebrity of 2020, The Music Video of 2020 and The Collaboration Song of 2020. Ultimately, the pop star walked away with one honor, The Male Artist of 2020.

Bieber’s “Holy” and “Lonely” are his latest music singles since he put out his sixth studio album, Changes, in February. The album went No.1 and generated several successful singles, including “Yummy” and “Intentions” featuring Quavo.
