It was (almost) business as usual for the Union Square Christmas tree in San Francisco.
It was the 31st annual tree lighting in Union Square Wednesday night, but there was something missing………the thousands who usually show up to witness the event. This year the crowd was limited to just a few people because of the pandemic, but it was still a beautiful sight! In fact, some of the people who were there to see it stumbled on it by accident.
The tree is 83 feet tall, and decorated by more than 11 hundred ornaments and 33,000 LED lights. It’s so great that this holiday tradition is still one that we can depend on, despite the pandemic.
