San Antonio families now have the option of another drive-thru lights event to help celebrate the holidays.

Palo Alto College, located on the South Side, is holding its second annual Winter Wonderland ¡Celebración! with a quarter-mile drive-thru that features nearly one million lights in 500 displays.

The route weaves through the campus and will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from December 4 to January 3, according to campus officials.

Visitors can see the display from the comfort of their own cars, as it is a drive-thru event only.

The event is completely free to the public.

Guests can enter the event through Villaret Boulevard and exit at Loop 410 near the Performing Arts Center.

There will be a virtual lighting ceremony on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

The college kicked off their Winter Wonderland with an ice-skating rink last year.

Events this year, however, were forced to go virtual or socially-distanced due to the pandemic.
