Denver Is One Of The Best Cities In America For Singles

Love is always hard to come by, especially in a pandemic.

With coronavirus cases rising and tighter restrictions, date nights at restaurants or the movies, meeting people at clubs or bars, or even meeting people through colleagues is all almost impossible right now.

Luckily, Denver is one of the best cities in the U.S. for single people.

A recent study for WalletHub ranked Denver, Colorado as the third best city for singles.

Denver wasn't the only Colorado city to make the list. Colorado Springs came in a little further down the list at number 31.

To determine the best U.S. cities for singles, WalletHub compared 182 cities by their economics, fun and recreation, and dating opportunities.

On a 100 point scale, economics (the cost of a meal, movie, etc.) accounted for 25 points. Fun and recreation (number of restaurants and coffee shops as well as cities with the fewest coronavirus restrictions) accounted for 25 points. Dating opportunities (share of single population, singles gender balance, and activity on dating apps) accounted for 50 points.

Although the study seems neutral, taking into account the "gender balance" of each city's single population assumes the study is geared toward straight people.

Denver had the highest singles gender balance.
