A man's pants dropped down to his knees while he was in a fight at a South Florida Wawa, and one bystander caught it all on camera.
Said male bystander also provided some entertaining commentary during the affair, which made it go viral, Local 10 reported. Darian Rollins, the man who recorded the fight, said he was speaking during the fight to try and diffuse the situation. That didn't happen.
Reporters said the fight started around 2 a.m. Monday (November 30) a Wawa in Lauderhill. When one of the men involved in the brawl opened the door for the other, the other man didn't appreciate it. That's when the the fist fight broke out near the front of a register. Rollins pulled out his phone to record the altercation.
The two men can be seen in the video grappling each other and swinging their fists. A store employee tried to break up the fight, but he too fell to the ground. Throughout the video, Rollins can be heard making various comments like, “Take him to the sky. Up top chicken box. Pull up your pants, fam.”
Rollins even tried to break up the fight with his words. “It is 2 in the morning. Just let go. That is all you got to do,” he said. The brawl continued.
“I was trying to diffuse it by then, because it wasn’t really a fight,” Rollins told the TV station Tuesday (December 1). “They were just kind of hugging each other because his pants were down and it was embarrassing, so I was like you guys could end it now.
Rollins told reporters he just finished recording his late-night podcast and walked into the store. He posted the video to Twitter, which got over 3.6 million views by Tuesday afternoon.
Lauderhill police said they responded to the incident. Local 10 said one of the men was seen running out the door as soon as officers arrived. Both men did to press charges, but Wawa employees asked them not to return.
