Video captured quite the sight in South Florida last week: a bunch of cars making donuts in the middle of a busy intersection.

Three cars can be seen in the video circling each others, tires screeching and slight smoke rising from the drift. Another clip features a group of people with smartphones out as two vehicles circle them. This all went down right before midnight Friday (December 18) around Southwest 6th Street in Miami Beach, according to Local 10.

Reporters said spectators cheered on the daredevils, the incident going on for several minutes. Traffic reportedly slowed and was blocked, and the video shows some cars trying to get through and avoid the careless driving.

After 10 minutes into the video, crowds can be seen dispersing, running in various directions. A fist fight also broke out while spectators fled the scene. Reporters said Miami Beach police were in the area, trying "make their way through what’s turned into a major traffic jam."

According to authorities, more than 10 cars were involved in what's being described as "a reckless driving stunt." Miami Beach spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said they were monitoring a suspected "car club," which allegedly organizes reckless driving events throughout Miami-Dade County.

NBC Miami said over a dozen people were arrested, and several citations were issued by police. Rodriguez called it a "very busy night in Miami Beach."
