Nandi Bushell Recruits Her Family For Heartwarming New Song

Generally speaking, 2020 was not a great year (to put it very nicely), but for Nandi Bushell it couldn't have been better. In the past 365 days, the 10-year-old musical prodigy received praise for her breathtaking covers, was gifted gear from her idols, and most notably beat Dave Grohl in a drum battle. She's also shared a few original songs, and decided to wrap up the year with one more: a heartfelt, acoustic sing-along with her mom, dad, and little brother.

Nandi shared a video of her family jamming together as they sing: “It’s been a really trying year/ The world is full of fear, but you got my back/ I’m always here for you/ We got everything we need/ We got everything we want/ We got each other, that’s enough/ Because all we need is love." At the end of the clip, she and her brother Thomas spring up from the amps they were sitting on. “I wrote this song for you!" Nandi exclaims. "Bring it on, 2021! Happy New Year!”

"Happy New Year Everyone! I wrote this song for you all and ask my family to jam it with me," Nandi wrote in the video's caption. "I hope it puts a smile on your face even if its a little cheesy! Thank you everyone for supporting me this year! It’s been unreal in so many ways! I can’t wait for 2021! Lots of very exciting things to come! Love and respect to everyone! Love you mummy, daddy and Thomas"
