Reba McEntire And Boyfriend Rex Linn Enjoy 'First Movie Date'

Reba McEntire and her boyfriend Rex Linn can officially say they've been to a movie together!

On Friday (January 8), the country star turned to Instagram to share several photos from the couple's recent date night to a private screening of the new Tom Hanks film, News of the World at a local AMC theater.

"AMC offers private screenings.... we took them up on it. First movie date!" McEntire wrote alongside a collection of photos, which Linn also shared to his Instagram page.

In the photos shared from the theater's lobby, the country star is seen wearing a mask, holding up their bag of snacks before heading in to watch the movie. Other snapshots show the couple enjoying the movie with their popcorn, soda, and Reese's Pieces.

"Looks like y'all had funnn!!! Going to have to try this!" fellow country star, Tanya Tucker, wrote in the comments, to which McEntire replied, "You would love it!" A fan added, "You are so precious! Enjoy!," while another wrote, "So cool but way too expensive. Neat idea though, my family would love it."

McEntire and Linn first met in 1991 while filming NBC's The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw. The two went on their first date in January and remained in touch throughout the pandemic.

"We had dinner with Rex, was it in January?" McEntire shared on her podcast, Living & Learning With Reba McEntire, in October. "And then February on it was the COVID pandemic and we were talking, texting, FaceTime. And that’s a really good way to get to know people... It's good to have a person to talk to, laugh with, get into subjects about what’s going on. Discussions about our past, our family, funny stories, him being an actor, me being an actress. And he’s very into my music. I’m very into his career. It’s just great getting to talk to somebody who I find very interesting, very funny, very smart, and is interested in me, too."

The couple made their first official red carpet debut in November when McEntire hosted the CMA Awards in Nashville.
