To get ready for Super Bowl Sunday, Frito-Lay released a commercial starring a bunch of legendary players who made their names in the Big Game. The commercial, titled 'Twas the Night Before Super Bowl, stars Marshawn Lynch narrating his take on the iconic Christmas classic.
The commercial features Peyton and Eli Manning in matching Christmas pajamas playing catch in their basement. After Eli throws one too many balls through the wall, their father Archie comes downstairs to yell at them as they argue over who is at fault.
The family enjoyed filming the commercial because it was a chance for them to be together during the coronavirus pandemic.
"We've pretty much stayed close to home here in New Orleans, and Peyton's been in Denver and Eli up in New Jersey. So we all met out in L.A. And that was fun to get to see them," Archie told PEOPLE.
The commercial also includes appearances from Troy Aikman, Joe Montana, Deion Sanders, Terry Bradshaw, Jerry Rice, and Jerome Bettis.
"Not only are we featuring America's favorite snacks, but also America's favorite NFL legends with the most ever in a commercial for us. We wanted to show the excitement and joy that players and fans alike have around the Super Bowl and do it in a fun, and unexpected way that we hope puts a lot of smiles on people's faces when they see it," said Rachel Ferdinando, SVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Frito-Lay North America.
The two-minute commercial serves as a preview for a brand new commercial that will air during the Super Bowl on February 7.
