Murfreesboro Police are searching for a man they said pulled out a firearm and threatened a workers in a fast food drive-thru line late last year, News Channel 5 reports. Authorities believe he was upset over a refund at the restaurant.

In November 2020, an unidentified man drove to the drive-thru window of the Middle Tennessee Boulevard Hardee's restaurant and demanded to speak to a manager about a $10 refund, police said. After some discussion, he allegedly brandished a handgun, finger on the trigger, and pointed it at the worker in the window.

The man ended up driving away before police could arrive on the scene, leaving in a black Chevy Equinox SUV. According to surveillance images released by police, the man had a beard and a nose ring.

Murfreesboro Police ask that if anyone recognizes the man or if anyone has information about his identity, to email the department at crimetips@murfreesborotn.gov. If identified and found, they said the man could face charges of aggravated assault from the incident.

This isn't the first time a Murfreesboro fast-food restaurant has made the news recently. Around the same time as the Hardee's incident, a manager at a local Wendy's was charged with assault after allegedly biting the shoulder of a 17-year-old employee.
