She's back!
On Sunday (March 14), Taylor Swift performed at the Grammys for the first time in five years. The 31-year-old superstar performed an epic medley of songs off her two surprise albums of 2020, folklore and evermore. She was joined by the albums' main collaborators Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff.
Swift kicked off her medley with 'Cardigan'—aka the first single from folklore. She then grabbed her guitar and joined Desnner and Antonoff in a cozy cabin set to sing 'August,' another track off folklore. Fans of Swift will recognize these songs as two of the three tracks that make up folklore's high school love triangle saga. The third song, of course, is 'Betty,' which Swift performed at the 2020 ACM Awards.
Swift finished off her Grammys performance with 'Willow,' the lead track from evermore. Just five months after she dropped folklore, Swift returned with its "sister" album evermore. Though folklore and evermore were both released in 2020, evermore isn't eligible for any Grammys this year. Evermore will be eligible at next year's awards ceremony.

Before the awards show kicked off, executive producer Ben Winston raved about Swift's performance. After catching her rehearsal, Winston told Entertainment Tonight: "It's an amazing performance. It's genuinely, like, magical. I was grinning ear to ear." Winston went on to describe the performance as "the most ambitious concept for her performance, but it's brilliant and it's beautiful, and I think it's gonna be one of the moments of the night, no doubt."
Swifties everywhere agreed with Winston's assessment after her performance finally aired.

Swift has previously won 10 Grammy awards, including taking home the highly coveted Album of the Year award twice. Her bestselling 2020 album folklore earned Swift five nominations at the 2021 Grammy awards, including her fourth Album Of The Year nod.
Swift made history when she won Album of the Year for the third time at the 2021 Grammy Awards. She is the first woman to win the award three times.
