Drake broke history and is paying tribute to his predecessor.
After the industry titan made headlines with his recent batch of Scary Hour 2 track debuts on the Billboard Hot 100, the rapper hosted a private dinner with friends and Bow Wow at Mastro's in Houston, Texas on Monday (March 15). Over on Instagram, Drizzy shared glimpses of his customized Billboard Hot 100 cake, as well as footage and him toasting to the chart accolade with the former child star. "I didn’t know how else to bring in 1, 2, 3. I had to link with Wizzle," he told viewers. "Everybody wants to have drinks and everybody wants to celebrate and turn up, I just had to see Wizzle. I had to see Wizzle in person."
Drake went on to show Bow Wow major love by quoting lyrics from his 2001 hit "Thank You." "If it wasn’t for you, there wouldn’t be no me," he declared. "And that's why I’ma rock with y’all forever more. I appreciate y’all.” Meanwhile, Bow Wow shared gratitude on his own Instagram Story, writing, "What a night Houston. So legendary ain’t no footage no pics."
In case you missed out, Drake made history when his trio of Scary Hours 2 tracks locked the No. 1, 2 and 3 spots simultaneously on the Billboard chart. While "What's Next" debuted at the top position, "Wants and Needs" featuring Lil Baby took the runner-up spot, with "Lemon Pepper Freestyle" featuring Rick Ross landing at the No. 3 position.
