Police have arrested a man who is accused of biting and carjacking a woman inside a carwash back in January.
The man is 51-year-old Phillip Michael Dent and he is being held on charges of robbery, assault, motor vehicle theft, arson, second-degree burglary, theft, and criminal trespass, reports CBS4.
On January 28, 2021, Dent walked inside the car wash and up to the woman's car. He then opened the driver's side door and pulled her out, according to investigators.
The woman tried to fight him off but eventually, he grabbed her neck and bit her before finally pulling her down to the ground. He then gets inside the vehicle and drives off.
The incident was caught on surveillance video at the Atlantis Car Wash on South Federal Circle in Littleton.
The victim was a 63-year-old woman. Police said that she was not seriously injured from Dent's attack.
Dent was able to escape the crime scene and managed to get from Littleton to Denver.
He was later arrested at a hotel in the area of 36th and Quebec Street after police in Littleton received a tip on his locations, according to CBS4.
Dent is also being held on three other arrest warrants unrelated to the car wash incident.
