'Anti-Mask Karen' Gets Embarrassed After Realizing She's Being Recorded

A video posted to Reddit shows a woman appearing to be embarrassed as someone filmed her arguing with a Walmart employee about the store's mask rules.

The footage begins with an employee explaining to the woman why everyone has to be masked in the store. That's when the person filming interjects into the conversation, saying that the Walmart could be fined or even shutdown if people walk around maskless.

"OK, who are you?" the woman responds to the person filming. "Don't be recording me."

"I've never met a Karen before, so I'm excited," the recorder replies excitedly. "I can't wait to put this on Twitter."

The woman, who appears to realize how she'll look on the video when it makes its way online, goes quiet and fumbles with her purse. Then she fires back at the woman recording.

"You got a mask on," the maskless woman said. "Don't be worried about me, b***h." She then goes on about how the person filming should "fix their hair" and "put that on Twitter."

After briefly listening to the Walmart employee about the mask policy, the woman proceeds to walk away. The person filming calls the woman "Karen" a couple more times before the subject looks back and says, "F**k you."

On Reddit, the video has over 3,700 upvotes and more than 400 comments. Some commentators said they enjoyed watching the woman filming treat the exchange like a rare encounter with a wild animal.

"She sounds genuinely excited when she says 'Never met a Karen before!' as if she just spotted a rare bird in the wild," one user wrote.
