NBA YoungBoy is in FBI custody after allegedly attempting to flee from police after being pulled over in Los Angeles, California on Monday (March 22).
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department and the feds were pursuing the 21-year-old rapper, born Kentrell Gaulden, over an outstanding federal warrant. However, when they attempted to pull over a vehicle YoungBoy was in, he allegedly jumped out of the car and began running away from law enforcement.
Sources told the outlet, cops "set up a perimeter and brought in a K-9 to help find YoungBoy." It was reportedly the police dog that eventually "sniffed him out."
Police also reportedly found a firearm in the vehicle. It is unclear if it belongs to YoungBoy.
Last month, it was reported that the "All In" rapper was under federal investigation following his September 2020 arrest. He was among 16 people who were taken into police custody on drug and firearms charges in his hometown of Baton Rouge. According to police records, per multiple outlets, police responded to reports of a large group of individuals brandishing firearms and filming a music video. Ultimately, NBA was released on $75,000.
