Is this it? Is it happening? Are we finally getting new music from Rihanna?! The star hinted as much on a recent video she posted to her Instagram.

The short clip was a nod to her last album, Anti, which she released back in 2016. The album recently reached a new milestone, spending five years on the Billboard 200, and is "the first album by a Black female artist to reach this milestone in the chart's history," according to a tweet from Chart Data which is featured in the video.

Rihanna captioned the video, "Grateful to the most High for putting die hard supporters in my circle #Anti #WomensHistoryMonth congrats to everyone that contributed to this era, thank you team."

Receiving tons of congratulations from peers and fans alike, one fan in particular commented, "Celebrate by releasing a song!!" Well, Badgalriri replied and said, "I think I should" along with the "soon" emoji, but followed up with "just 1 tho lol."

Despite the fact that Rihanna has been working on a new album, it sounds like fans will get to hear at least one new song soon!

The new music is highly anticipated and long-awaited, as Rih has been quiet on the music front over the last few years. After releasing Anti, the star featured on N.E.R.D.'s "Lemon" in 2017 and "Believe It" with PARTYNEXTDOOR last year.

Rihanna has talked about R9 several times, and in the fall during an interview with the Associated Press, she confirmed that she's held "tons of writing camps." But, she's been asking herself a lot of questions about the music she wants to release into the world and explained, "What do I feel personally? What do I want to put out, and as an artist, how do I want to play it with my art? How do I want to interpret that?" She added, “How do I want to reimagine it because it’s been so structured before."
