Log Flume boat at Six Flags Great Adventure nearly flips over

One of the things that always freaks me out about log flume rides is not being strapped in. These rides have been around for over 50 years. The first time I ever rode a log flume was a Hershey Park in 1973. I remember getting on the ride over and over again because it was a drizzly day and the park wasn't crowded. When you're 12 you don't worry so much about being strapped in. Since then I've gone on log flume rides all over the place. Nothing has ever happened but I always wondered if it was possible for a person to fall out of the ride. On Sunday something like that did almost happen on the Saw Mill Log Flume at Six Flag Great Adventure. Park officials say the ride is being temporarily closed. While an investigation is being done to determine how one of the boats nearly tipped over. Somehow the boat did not complete it's cycle. Two passengers in the boat were checked at a local hospital. The Six Flags log flume ride is 4 stories tall. It was built in 1974.
