Clark the Cub won quite the popularity contest.

The beloved mascot of the Chicago Cubs is the best one in Major League Baseball.

That’s according to a recent survey of more than 2,000 fans across the country, conducted by Play USA. Play USA aims to “provide readers with news and resources related to legal, regulated online gambling options in the United States,” the site explains.

MLB fans participating in the survey rated each mascot on a scale of 1 to 5. The score available online is an average for each mascot, Play USA states.

Clark the Cub rose to the top of the list, ranking No. 1 of 27 with an average rating of 3.95 stars.

Southpaw, the mascot of the Chicago White Sox, came in at No. 22.

Play USA reads:

“MLB mascots are as diverse as MLB fans. Some are loud and in your face while others are a bit more subdued. But according to sports fans, it’s the Chicago Cubs’ very own ‘Clark the Cub’ who takes the ‘W’ for the best mascot in the league.
“Overall, fans gave Clark a 3.95 rating out of 5. Clark ranked considerably higher than the mascot of the Cubs’ crosstown rivals, the Chicago White Sox. “Southpaw” of the Sox ranked in the bottom 10 on our list with an average rating of 3.07.”

These are the Top 10 teams with the most popular mascots in the MLB, according to the survey:

  1. Chicago Cubs
  2. Detroit Tigers
  3. Colorado Rockies
  4. Minnesota Twins
  5. Baltimore Orioles
  6. Toronto Blue Jays
  7. Oakland Athletics
  8. Cincinnati Reds
