Here's Which Fireworks Are Legal And Illegal In Colorado

The Fourth of July is just around the corner and it's important to know which fireworks are allowed in different Colorado cities.
According to 9NEWS, any type of fireworks that leave the ground is illegal in Colorado. Prohibited fireworks include firecrackers, bottle rockets, ladyfingers, mortars, and Roman candles.
However, depending on where you live, certain types of firecrackers are permitted.
In Denver: Any fireworks you have you light or ignite are illegal. Violations result in penalties up to $999 fines and up to a year in jail.
In Aurora: Fireworks can be purchased and used only from June 15 to July 4. Fireworks that don't leave the ground or explode are allowed.
In Arapahoe County: Only professional displays are allowed. The sale and use of fireworks in all unincorporated areas of Arapahoe County are prohibited.
In Boulder: It's illegal to use or possess any fireworks within city limits. Police will have increased patrols looking for illegal activity during the holiday week.
In Colorado Springs: Any fireworks with a fuse and/or requiring a flame for ignition are illegal. Only novelty items like snappers and poppers are allowed.
In Pueblo: Any device that explodes are leaves the ground is not allowed in the city or county. Items like ground spinners, fountains, sparklers, and smoke bombs are permitted.
