Two California men have broken an interesting world record.
At noon on Saturday, July 10, in Concord, the men spent 216 consecutive hours on a seesaw, reports KGO.
The previous seesaw record was set in Sacramento back in 1971 and one-half of the pair is the same man who broke the record today.
Chuck Walker was 18-years-old and just out of high school when he set the record. He's been hoping to break his own record ever since.
"This has been such a struggle," Walker told KGO. "I have a hard time at night. The days are awesome because you're all out cheering us on, supporting us. Awesome, thank you for all that cheering."
Walker, along with his roommate and friend Mike Hartshorn took turns sleeping for just a few hours at a time. They took quick bathroom breaks in the portable toilet nearby.
The attempt to break the record ran for 10 days, according to KGO.
Walker had to close his shop for the event but Hartshorn was able to work on his phone and a laptop he set up near the seesaw.
The pair said set out to break the record to distract people and give them something to smile about.
