A Sacramento business is giving people a chance to relieve stress in an unconventional way.

Smash Sacramento has been running for the past three years.

“We created Smash to be a safe place where people can relieve stress or just let loose and have fun,” Dave Messier, the Army veteran who co-owns Smash with his partner, Breanna Wilkie told Sacramento Magazine. “We started working with grievance groups, Wounded Warrior projects and youth impact programs. Now we cater to birthday parties, divorce parties, team-building events, date nights and more.”

Their "rage room" offers customers a space to take their frustrations out on objects like old computers, bottles, and more.

They provide weapons like baseball bats, crowbars, sledgehammers, mace bells, and golf clubs to do some serious smashing.

Groups of 1-4 people are allowed in the rage rooms for 20 minutes and sessions with 20 or more people last an entire hour.

As it turns out, people are really into destroying things. They've had so much interest that they now run two locations in downtown Sacramento and Carmichael.

“You don’t have to be angry to enjoy breaking things,” Wilkie told Sacramento Magazine. “It’s always a great time, and you don’t have to clean up after.”

The Sacramento location also offers ax throwing.

You can book a session at SmashSacramento.com.
