The housing market may be topping the scale as one of the most expensive in the country, but at least Utah has one cheap thing. The state has the cheapest pepperoni pizza in the entire country.

Expensivity conducted a study to determine the cheapest pizza in America. The website states:

"Pizzerias, menus, and prices were collected from MenuWithPrice. Cheese pizza prices were derived from an average of pizzas of all sizes, named “plain pizza,” “cheese pizza,” or “margherita pizza.” Pepperoni prices were derived from pizza of all sizes that had pepperoni as the singular topping."

Though Utah didn't win the overall top spot for pizza in general, the state did secure the top spot for the cheapest pepperoni pizza.

In Utah, you can grab a pepperoni pizza for as low as $6.49. That price is cheaper than any pepperoni or plain cheese pizza across the entire country. The average price of a cheese pizza in Utah runs at about $7.00 per pizza.

America's priciest pepperoni pizza belongs to Oklahoma, where the average price runs about $15.56 per pizza.

The study also found the average number of pizzerias per 100,000 residents. Utah has an average of 18.8 pizza joint per 100,000 people, which is among the lowest in the country.
