Michelle Branch And Patrick Carney Are Expecting Their Second Child

Michelle Branch and The Black Keys' Patrick Carney are growing their family!

Over the weekend, the singer-songwriter shared the news with an Instagram post that revealed one of her pregnancy cravings (and impressive baking skills).

"You know you’re pregnant when... Woke up to a picture my friend Sonya sent of scones she was eating in England and I immediately had to hop out of bed and make a batch myself," she captioned the photo gallery. "@officerpatrickcarney was my hero (as usual) and went to the market in search of double cream. Couldn’t be more excited (and nervous! Hello, pregnancy after miscarriage anyone?!) to announce baby Carney is coming early 2022! *recipe is @nigellalawson, duh."

The happy announcement comes after Branch revealed she had suffered her first miscarriage in December.

She and Carney tied the knot in 2019 and are parents to 2-year-old Rhys James Carney (who turns 3 on August 28!). The 38-year-old musician also has a 16 year-old daughter, Owen Isabelle, with ex-husband Teddy Landau.

Her pregnancy isn't the only thing Branch celebrated over the weekend. On August 14, her debut album The Spirit Room turned 20, and she revealed she'll be hosting a livestream to mark the occasion on September 10.
