Golden State Stimulus II: Use This Calculator To Estimate Your Check Amount

The Golden State Stimulus II payments are expected to go out to Californians as early as September.
The payment is meant to help Californians impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Governor Gavin Newsom announced the second round of stimulus payments back in May but there has been confusion around who will qualify for the stimulus checks.
According to the California Franchise Tax Board, everyone who will receive the Golden State Stimulus II must:
- file their 2020 taxes by October 15, 2021
- have between $1 and $75,000 of California adjusted gross income
- be a California resident on the date payment is issued
- be a California resident for more than half of the 2020 tax year
- not be claimed as a dependent by another taxpayer
Beyond these qualifications, the amount each eligible Californian will receive varies.
Almost 2/3 of residents will qualify for a check of $600 but qualified families with children should receive an additional $500.
