Free Utah Hot Air Balloon Festival Will Fly Over 'Dinosaurland' Soon

The 3rd Annual Dinah "SOAR" Days Festival is returning this weekend, reported ABC 4.

The city of Vernal will host the free hot air balloon festival with various activities this weekend from August 27th through the 29th. The festival will feature fun events like live music, craft booths, and hot air balloons. There will also be craft beers.

Launches of the hot air balloons will happened every morning from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. They will launch from the Uintah Recreation Center.

Each night when the sun goes down, there will be a Balloon Night Glow event. This event will begin at 8 p.m. nightly.

On Saturday, August 28th, visitors can check out the Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum for free. Check it out from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and catch a glimpse of a massive, 152 million year old log that was recently discovered.

Guests will be able to take tethered balloon rides for a small fee. In addition, they can participate in a 5K or 10K race on August 28th.
