Cole Swindell has “one more reason to love Ohio.”
The country singer-songwriter was “Chillin’ It” with his “#1 fan” at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, and it “made my night.” He shared the cute video of the pair meeting on his social media channels. “A few weeks back, a friend of mine sent me a video of a little girl named Payton, (saying) that was a big fan and this is the show she was coming to, so let’s go meet her,” Swindell said. The video captured the moment Swindell sat down next to her and introduced himself — and Payton burst with excitement, donning her “Cole’s #1 fan” t-shirt. The fast friends even shared the same favorite song: Swindell’s “You Should Be Here.”
Payton and her family told Swindell that Payton’s Uncle Lance has been serving in Afghanistan, so a concert was just what they needed after this past week, they said. “I’m so, so thankful for him,” Cole assured Payton of her uncle. “We’ll make sure to thank him and all the others like him tonight on stage.”
After the meet-and-greet, Payton jumped up and down while exclaiming “I actually got to meet him!” and waving her sign that proclaims she’s Swindell’s No. 1 fan. Swindell shared the adorable video and shared that he loves “writing songs and being on stage but THIS is what it’s all about.”
The “Single Saturday Night” artist also posted a picture at Blossom Music Center wearing one of Thomas Rhett’s “Center Point Road” Tour shirts. Rhett had to cut his set short “due to dadgum lightning,” but promised to come back for another show on September 19, making it “as special as humanly possible.” Swindell responded to Rhett’s announcement on Instagram, promising that “Sept 19 gonna be 🔥🔥🔥🔥”
