If you recently saw police officers driving go-karts in Tukwila, Washington -- you're not dreaming.

A fun, seconds-long video shows two cops driving the small vehicles Tuesday (August 31) after they recovered them. It turns out that they were stolen from a local business, the police department wrote on Facebook.

As for the crime, police got reports of two abandoned go-karts in the parking of another business off Interurban Avenue South early Tuesday. The officer who responded asked his fellow cops if anyone was available to help drive the go-karts back to the Fun Center, where they were stolen from.

“In this instance, there was no shortage of volunteers to assist another officer’s call for assistance," authorities said in a release. It turns out there may be a rampant thief because plenty more go-karts are missing from the Fun Center, Tukwila police says. Officers were able to return three, and they believe at least 10 were taken.

"Thank you to everyone who called in the location of the stolen go karts as they popped up in random locations," police wrote on Facebook. This has been a daylong fiasco as we rounded them up one by one. We are glad to have been able to recover just about all of them with the assistance of our friends at the Renton Police Department, WA. And yes, Tukwila is the original home of the Mario Brothers!"

Investigators are still looking for the suspect and examining surveillance footage. If arrested, the suspect will face felony charges.
