WAVE 3 News meteorologist Tawana Andrew got the surprise of a lifetime as she was preparing for Friday morning's broadcast.

Andrew suspected nothing usual when fellow meteorologist Brian Goode brought up his photo of the day during his “Make it a Goode Morning” special segment.

Goode pulled up a photo of an engagement ring with a teardrop diamond and the quote “It’s time for my princess to become my queen.”

No one knew what was going on until Goode asked help with decoding the message. That's when Andrew's boyfriend Rusty Steele walked into the studio and dropped down on one knee in front of Andrew.

“No way. No way, no way, no way," she said as the cameras continued to roll.

“I know we agreed to take this one day at a time and just see where it goes. But with each passing day I’ve fallen more and more in love with you. A love that’s grown to a point that I don’t want to spend another day without you, and I want to love you one day at a time for the rest of my life," Steele said before popping the question.

Of course, Andrew said yes.

Congrats to Meteorologist Tawana Andrew WAVE 3 and Rusty!

“How am I supposed to do weather after this?" Andrew asked her co-workers in between tears. Luckily, the WAVE crew was already prepared to have someone fill in for her.

Congratulations to the couple! The full video of the engagement can be found here.

So… this happened… 💍❤️ Future Mrs. Steele.
