Utah Is The Happiest State In The Country

Happiness is a result of many different factors, both internal and external. It's no secret that your surroundings can influence just how happy you are.
So how happy are Utah residents?
WalletHub released a study to determine the happiest states in America. To determine the list, the website compares all 50 states across 31 key metrics including depression rate, adequate sleep rates, work hours, and safety.
According to the study, Utah is the happiest state in America. The state placed first overall as well as in the "work environment" and "community and environment" categories. Utah placed ninth overall in the "emotional and physical well-being" category.
Utah has the highest sports participation rate, the fewest work hours, the highest volunteer rate, the lowest divorce rate, and the fourth-highest safety rating.

- South Dakota
- Idaho
- Maryland
