Colorado Contractor Destroys New Bathroom After Client Refuses To Pay

An angry Colorado contractor is going viral after he took a sledgehammer to a bathroom he spent hours remodeling.

According to CBS4, the contractor claimed that the client refused to pay him so he took back his work.

“Let me tell you something. No contractor in the state of Colorado will fix that when they found out that I took it back because she refused to pay me,” he said.

Amber Trucke the homeowner told CBS4 that she had already paid $3,300 of the $7,500 bill and was simply waiting to make sure she was happy with the work before she paid the rest.

“You don’t go into somebody’s home and destroy it,” said Trucke.

According to Daily Mail, a neighbor rushed to the house and started filming the video when she saw the contractor's truck pull up to the house.

The company Dream Home of Remodels of Colorado issued a statement saying that "communication broke down and resulted in our company repossessing the tile shower. It has never happened before and that it’s not something that is a regular practice.”

CBS4 reports that authorities are now investigating the situation to determine if any criminal charges are warranted.
