If you're having trouble looking for what to read it's always a great idea to start local. Colorado has a broad range of popular, award-winning authors.
Check out these best-selling authors from Denver:
- Sandra Dallas
- Dallas is the New York Times best-selling author of 16 adult novels, four young reader novels, and 10 nonfiction books. She was just inducted into the Colorado Authors' Hall of Fame in September.
- Stephen White
- Another New York Times best-selling author, the psychological thriller fiction author is famous for his Dr. Alan Gregory series. Although he's originally from New York, he's lived in Colorado and even got his Ph.D. at the University of Colorado.
- Diane Mott Davidson
- Yet another New York Times best-selling author, this well-known writer is known for her mystery novels centered around the theme of food. Her books even feature several recipes.
- David Boop
- Calling all science fiction and fantasy fans, this Denver-based author has made his name in the national sci-fi scene for his novels like She Murdered Me With Science, and the Noel Glass Mysteries series.
- Phil Goodstein
- An expert of Denver history and lesser-known facts about the city, his books The Ghosts of Denver: Capitol Hill and Spirit of South Broadway break down the history of these spots and why they are rumored to be haunted. He's also been giving ghost tours since the late 1980s. Perfect for the month of October.
