Say it ain't so.
While chatting with Glamour UK for her cover story, Jesy Nelson confirmed fan speculation that she's no longer in touch with her former Little Mix bandmates. Though Nelson departed the girl group last year, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirwall, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock have continued on.
"It is weird because for so many years we were as close as sisters, together every hour of the day for weeks, sharing beds, laughing, crying just 24/7 the four of us together and then...nothing," Nelson told the magazine.
"We've sent a few texts, but that's it," Nelson continued. "I can't explain it, it's like there has to be this distance. We were so close so you can't do in-between, there has to be space. Hopefully, at some point in the future, we can all come back together."
Nelson also confirmed she hasn't met Edwards and Pinnock's new babies. The bandmates welcomed their children—a son named Axel for Edwards, and twins for Pinnock—just days apart in August of this year.
"I love them. They are my sisters in so many ways, but for the time being we just don't talk," Nelson said.
As Little Mix prepares to release Between Us, a special 10-year anniversary album that includes the girls' biggest hits as well as five brand new songs, Nelson is getting ready to release her debut solo single 'Boyz.' The 30-year-old singer will team up with Nick Minaj for the track.
Over on Instagram, Nelson shared a clip of the track, tagging Minaj and hashtagging the song's title. Minaj also teased the track to Instagram, captioning her post "almost time." A release date for 'Boyz' has not yet been released.
