WATCH: San Diego Amazon Delivery Driver Accidentally Throws Package On Roof

An Amazon delivery driver went viral on TikTok this month after he accidentally delivered someone's package on their roof in San Diego.

According to ABC7, the incident was caught on the homeowner's doorbell camera.

So how does a delivery man end up landing a package on the roof?

If you check out the video below, you'll see that the driver was fending off a bug. The driver swatted at the bug with the hand that was holding packages. The video shows the package flying up and landing on the roof.

The driver circles around the yard a few times trying to figure out what he should do.

Later, the husband and wife who live at the home received a message that said "Hi this is your Amazon delivery driver. This sounds crazy but I accidentally threw a package on your roof. Do you have a ladder I can use?"

Because they didn't see the message until later that evening, the couple used a flashlight to confirm the package was there and retrieved the package the following day.

The homeowner Casey McPerry uploaded the doorbell camera video to TikTok with the captions, "Seriously it's okay, this made our day."

Some comments even pointed out that delivering the package on the roof is a great way to keep porch pirates away.
