Bachelor’s Colton Underwood Engaged After Less Than 1 Year of Dating

Colton Underwood is engaged to now fiancé Jordan C. Brown after dating less than one year. The former Bachelor and political strategist got engaged on a trip to Big Sur, California they took last month for Underwood's birthday. "life is going to be fun with you ♥️," Underwood writes on his Instagram following the announcement.

“I’m extremely happy! 2021 was the most transformative year of my life,” Underwood told People in a statement on Monday, February 28. “Starting 2022 off with my best friend, teammate and now fiancé is something I never thought was going to be possible.”

Underwood who recently came out as gay in April 2021 was seeing his then boyfriend Brown starting the same year. Us Weekly confirmed the two were together in November 2021, however Underwood didn't show their relationship in his Netflix series, Coming Out Colton.

“I have been through that. I have done that,” he told Us Weekly in December 2021. “Even going into the show, that was one of the conversations with the production company. … I’m not in a space right now to really, like, put myself out there like that. I had a lot of self-discovery to do.”

Before coming out, Underwood was seen on season 14 of The Bachelorette for Becca Kufrin and then later was in an on again/off again relationship with Tia Booth. He appeared on season 5 of Bachelor In Paradise before being chosen to be The Bachelor for season 23 which aired in 2019. He ended the season in a relationship with Cassie Randolph. The two split in May 2020.

That fall, Randolph filed a restraining order agains Underwood claiming he was stalking her. The case was dropped in November 2020.
