Watch Phil Collins, Genesis Say Goodbye At Final Concert Ever

Phil Collins and Genesis likely performed their final concert Saturday.

A series of health issues prompted Collins to announced his retirement in 2011. Though he returned in 2015 for more touring, Phil has entrusted his drum duties to his son Nic Collins and increasingly performed seated in recent years.

Phil explained last summer that he was certain 'The Last Domino' would be his final tour. Saturday at London's O2 arena, he told that the audience that it was indeed the end of the road for Genesis.

"Tonight is a very special night, of course. We're playing London and it's the last stop of our tour," he said before introducing "Land of Confusion." "And it's the last show for Genesis."

"It's difficult for us to believe that you still came out to see it (laughs)! Yes, after tonight we've all got to get real jobs."

Genesis — comprised of Phil, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks — announced its reunion in early-2020, but postponed the shows due to coronavirus-related shutdowns. 'The Last Domino?' tour came through North America last fall and wrapped up in Europe and the U.K. this month with ther final show Saturday at the O2 Arena in London.

The O2 show was also attended by ex-Genesis frontman Peter Gabriel. Phil acknowledged Gabriel's presence before the song "Domino." The two posed for photos together backstage.

Genesis performed for nearly two hours, with the band members taking their final bows after a three-song encore.
