Amazon Building Huge Distribution Center In Slidell

Construction continues on a huge Amazon distribution center in Slidell.

The 141,000 sq. ft. warehouse is on Town Center Blvd. near I-10.

When finished, the facility will create hundreds of jobs in St. Tammany Parish.

Amazon positions pay between $15 - $25 an hour with sign-on bonuses of $3,000.

Amazon's third distribution center in Louisiana will service about 950 Amazon Prime delivery vans.

The company had hoped to open the new center by June, but the date has been pushed back.
