Authorities in Alabama took to social media to squash widespread rumors that they were investigating a scary Sasquatch encounter in the state. According to a local media report, the weird debunking was needed after a resident named Kenny Walker posted a series of alleged Bigfoot photos on Facebook last week. Along with the classically hard-to-decipher images, he shared a rather fantastic story wherein a man was terrified after encountering the famed cryptid while turkey hunting at Big Lake Creek in the community of Wilmer. The unsettling tale and the accompanying pictures were apparently convincing enough to generate considerable interest from people who live in the area and the curious account went viral among residents in the region.
