Have You Heard of Sologamy? People Are Now Marrying Themselves

If you haven’t found the one, should you just marry yourself?! While monogamy is a commitment to one person, sologamy is now all the rage with a commitment to yourself. There are even companies selling self-wedding kits you can order online...

So, what’s the deal? TikTok life coach and proud sologamist Barrett Pall shared with Ryan Seacrest sologamy is essentially self-marriage, a symbolic ceremony where you commit to maintaining a meaningful, deep, and loving relationship with yourself.

According to Pall, it’s all about “leaning into self-love and self-compassion” and taking those traditional wedding vows people exchange with one another and “doing that for ourselves first.”

The sologamy trend kicked into high gear ever since the pandemic left singles dreading Zoom dates and instead diving deep into self-discovery while stuck at home.

Pall adds however that investing in self-love doesn’t mean you can’t still date someone!
