Disney Reveals Their 1st Ever Plus-Size Main Character For A New Short Film

Disney has just revealed their first ever plus-size character in their new short film called, "Reflect." The new short film "promotes body positivity and healthy body imagery through the main character, Bianca, a ballet dancer."

Disney's Animation artist Hilary Bradfield, who also worked on "Encanto" and "Frozen 2," directed the short film and was inspired by her own struggles with body positivity. According to KTLA 5, the short film is apart of Walt Disney Animation Studios' Short Circuit Experimental Film series, which allows Disney artists to pitch and create their own films. "Reflect" is available to watch through Disney+ now.
