Authorities in Eugene, Oregon, are urging parents to double-check their children's Halloween candy for razor blades.
The police said they had received three reports from parents who said they found small razor blades hidden inside the candy their kids brought home. All of the reports were from the same general area, from west 24th Street to west 27th Street and between Tyler Street to Friendly Street.
"The razor appears to be something similar to a pencil sharpener blade," the Eugene Police Department wrote on Facebook.
Officials said there have been no reports of kids being injured or ingesting the razor blades.
Investigators have not identified a suspect yet but are focusing their efforts on the neighborhood where the reports came from.
Parents said that hundreds of kids were out trick-or-treating despite some light rain and were shocked and angry that somebody would hide razors inside the candy.
"That's really twisted. That's a person who should be put in restraints. If there is someone out there who is watching this, who is guilty of this, I have one thing to say to them -- you just might burn in hell," Debra May told KEZI.
