Pete Davidson Reveals How Kim Kardashian Rejected Him At 2021 Met Gala

Pete Davidson made a brief cameo on Thursday's (November 17th) episode of Hulu's The Kardashians. The episode followed Kim Kardashian getting ready to attend the 2022 Met Gala with her then-boyfriend. “You look so f–king handsome. Like, so cute," she told the Saturday Night Live alum in the hallway of their hotel per Page Six.

As the two prepared to leave, Davidson reminded Kim that she had rejected his advances just a year prior at the same event. “Remember when I asked for your number at the last Met [in September 2021], and you pretended you couldn’t give it to me because you had gloves on?” he said.

Kim also remembered the moment and asked Davidson if he would ask her again this time and pointed out that she wasn't wearing gloves this year. Davidson replied that he would before adding, "It was actually the nicest excuse ever. I knew it was an excuse, but I remember…”

However, Kim insisted it "wasn't an excuse." Davidson wasn't convinced but recalled that he didn't walk away from the rejection feeling bad about himself. "I remember being in the car being like, ‘Wow, she knows how to make someone feel really good about themselves,'” he said. “I thought that was really sweet. You were like, ‘I’m sorry I can’t give you my number — I have gloves on.'”

"Had only I'd known," Kim replied.

Kim and Pete called it quits on their relationship in August and while sources say the two are no longer in communication, they would be friendly if they saw each other in person because there's no bad blood. Furthermore, Pete is also reportedly dating Emily Ratajkowski.
