There is a bill that is trying to get passed in California that could ban Red Dye No. 3! Assembly Bill (AB) 418 prohibits manufacture, sale and/or distribution of any food product in California that contains ingredients like Red Dye No. 3, Titanium Dioxide, Potassium Bromate, Brominated Vegetable Oil or Propyl Paraben. Foods like Hot Cheetos, Skittles, and Streit’s Apple and Honey Fruit Slices contain these ingredients and could be banned in California! If passed it will take effect January 2025.
