Shameik Moore, the voice actor of Miles Morales in the Spider-Verse animated movies, said the latest film was "robbed" of its Academy Award win Sunday night (March 10).
Sony's Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse was nominated for Best Animated Film at the 96th Academy Awards but lost the category to Studio Ghibli's The Boy and The Heron. This news didn't sit well with Moore, who suggested the latest entry into the Spider-Verse series was snubbed in an X (formerly Twitter) post.
"Robbed," he initially wrote before following up with another post clarifying his feelings.
"Respect to the winners. It’s true, I’m definitely a sore loser, but we didn’t lose, Spiderverse has impacted ALOT of lives, we may not have been acknowledged tonight but life goes on, and BEYOND….. yea get ready," Moore said.

Christopher Miller, one of the writers of the Spider-Verse movies, also shared his feelings on last year's entry losing to the renowned anime studio's film.
"Well, if you’re gonna lose, might as well lose to the GOAT," he wrote on X.
