Doritos To Release 'Unexpected' New Flavor In Partnership With Mountain Dew

Doritos is teaming up with Mountain Dew to release a bold new flavor that pays homage to a beloved Mountain Dew favorite! According to Food & Wine, Mountain Dew is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Baja Blast by turning it into a Doritos flavor! Yes, you read that correctly. Baja Blast Doritos, created as an exclusive partnership for Taco Bell, will be available in retail stores across the country later this month.

A Doritos spokesperson told Food & Wine that the celebration will last for an entire year, and the "unexpected flavor" will remain in stores until April 2025.

"This year marks the 20th Bajaversary, and Doritos is officially joining the year-long celebration. Spice-packed and tangy, this limited-time flavor is another way the brand is showcasing its dedication to bringing unexpected flavor experiences to loyal Doritos fans."

Contrary to popular belief, the new, fiery Doritos flavor does not taste exactly like a Baja Blast. The spokesperson continued, describing the new flavor as it appeals to loyal Doritos' customers.

“The team was particularly drawn to the mango habanero flavor combination, as it’s a proliferating flavor on menus and felt truer to Doritos brand and the flavor experiences Doritos consumers are seeking.” The new Doritos flavor will be available in select stores starting on April 14th, and nationwide on April 28th. Baja Fiery Mango Doritos will be available for purchase in a singular pack or in an eight pack with a few other popular flavors.
