Soulja Boy Apologizes To Metro Boomin Over Cruel Posts About His Late Mom

Soulja Boy is taking responsibility for dragging Metro Boomin's late mother into his recent tirade against the superproducer.

On Wednesday afternoon, May 15, the 33-year-old artist took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and apologized to Young Metro for his offensive posts. In his apology, he regretted his explosive overreaction to a 12-year-old tweet Metro posted and sent his condolences after he disrespected the producer's late mother. He also promised to begin therapy and anger management.

"I apologize to @MetroBoomin for over reacting over an old tweet," he wrote. "Condolences to his mom. I’m going to seek therapy and anger management. I’m done responding to hate, new or old. 💯🙏🏾"

Prior to his apology, Soulja Boy scrubbed all the offensive posts from his timeline. His rant began on Mother's Day when he came across the decade-old tweet in question. He hopped on Instagram Live and expressed his anger over the post and demanded Metro to take it down within 24 hours. Metro's friend 21 Savage chimed in and asked "Or what," which prompted a nasty reply from Soulja.

"Or I’m slapping the s**t out him and metro 👋🏾 💩" Soulja Boy replied.

"Speaking on a n***a mama like s**t a game you gone s**t on yourself when I see you boy," 21 shot back.
