Lady Gaga draws most of her inspiration from personal experiences and ideals she's had to address while navigating fame since the rise of her career in 2008.
The "Bad Romance" icon sat down with iHeartRadio to discuss the creative genius behind 2009 masterpiece, The Fame: Monster, drawing on her fears and how they built the record brick by brick.
"I began to write lots of music on the road. One morning I sort of woke up and started listing down all the songs that I had written. Each song became about a different monster that I had encountered. My fear of alcohol monster. My fear of love monster. My fear of sex monster. I really went in and I tried to doctor them and fit them into this concept that became The Fame: Monster."
