Elton John Recalls Dark Moment Before 1975 Dodgers Stadium Show

Elton John recently sat down for an exclusive iHeartRadio ICONS launch party, hosted by iHeartRadio and Q1043's Jim Kerr, at the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles, where he opened up about a number of topics, including a very scary moment before his legendary 1975 performance at Dodgers Stadium.

Recalling the events leading up to his Dodger Stadium performance, Elton recalled, "Two days before Dodger Stadium, I took an overdose of tablets and tried to dramatically kill myself. If you've seen Rocket Man, you know exactly what I'm talking about. And then after that, of course, my stomach was pumped. And here I was on Dodger Stadium two days later because I have a very strong constitution, and the show must go on. But once I started talking about the book, it all began to come out."
